Our Mission & Vision
Instilling the Vision and Values
1. OUR PURPOSE
Change seems to be inevitable for all growing organizations; but the fellowship has not wandered from its original purposes:
1. To reach men everywhere for Jesus Christ, taking particular note that in many instances men can reach others on their same social, cultural or business level more readily than anyone else. This is why the chapter meeting should not be a duplication of a church service or an auditorium-type meeting, but a gathering that should attract unsaved men who would not normally attend a church service. It should be conducted in such a way as to appeal to people in all walks of life, and everyone should feel welcome.
2. To provide a basis of fellowship among all people everywhere by creating a fellowship not directly associated with any specific church, but cooperating with denominations and inspiring its members to be active in their respective churches.
3. To bring about a greater measure of unity and spirit of harmony in the body of Christ, where members are united in a common effort for the good of the whole body. For the body to function at its greatest spiritual efficiency, each member of the body should come into full fellowship and submission to the Head- the Lord Jesus Christ.
2. OUR MISSION STATEMENT
1. To reach men in all nations for Jesus Christ 2. To call men back to God 3. To help believers to be baptized in the Holy Spirit and to grow spiritually 4. To train and equip men to fulfill the Great Commission 5. To provide an opportunity for Christian fellowship 6. To bring a greater unity among all people in the body of Christ
3. OUR GOALS
1. Every member bringing two new members (e.g. at least one who was previously unsaved) into the Fellowship each year. 2. a. 20% membership growth per year. b. 20% increase in chapter tithes per year (these funds are used for international outreach) c. 20% increase in voice bundle subscriptions.
4. OUR VISION
So our vision for the fellowship is based upon a series of prophetic messages given over a period of time and confirmed over a literal vision of God. In the vision, untold masses of men from every continent and nation, of all races and diverse culture and costume, once spiritually dead, are now alive. Delivered and set free, they are filled with the power of God’s Holy Spirit, faces radiant with glory, hands raised and voices lifting their praises to heaven. We see a vast global movement of laymen comprised of millions of men being used mightily by God to bring this last great harvest through the outpouring of God’s Holy Spirit before the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.
5. OUR TASK
Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International transcends national, denominational, racial and cultural barriers. Men of the local chapter have the unique opportunity of reaching other men who are not being touched by current methods of evangelism; particularly, the church. You can attract men of similar social, cultural or business interests to your meetings. They are more likely to come to a hotel or a restaurant than to a church edifice. Therefore, FGBMFI, by its very nature and dedication, is a “recruiter” for the church. You “catch” them – the church “feeds” them. Thus’ the church and FGBMFI work hand in hand. The fellowship has always supported the church and encourages its members to be active in their local body. It is not in competition with the church. As a matter of record, participation in the local chapter often stirs men to greater service and dedication in their own local assembly. At the local level, it is the chapters which are the backbone and the spearhead of the Fellowship in carrying out God’s great world shaking, end-time revival. It is in chapter meetings that – 1. People share their testimonies of what God has done in their lives. 2. Lives are changed as the claims of Christ are presented. 3. Hundreds of thousands gather monthly in a loving spirit of Christian fellowship.
